A Full Day 9AM-5PM ! Eid Mubarak ^_^

October 13, 2007 at 1:36 pm (academic, General, Lifestyle, Personal)

Eid Mubarak for all Muslims who are celebrating these holy amazing days and the end of Ramadan. How did I approach Eid’s news?? Well, I didn’t take the news very well, I love Ramadan and enjoy Fasting, so I wasn’t happy that Ramadan was for 29 days only. ( I asked my Mom, to pray that Eid will be on Saturday)>_<.. It didn’t work apparently (&_&)

Another reason for the disappointment is that I had a full day on Friday, Yeah , a Full day on my Eid … (Ahhhhh!!!). 3 hours of lectures, then an hour meeting with my group (discussing dental cases==> Boring) followed by 3 hours of observing anxious patients being treated under sedation. What an Eid, *_*

…… Eid Mubarak…. and Ensha-Allah all of you are having a great time with your loved ones ^_^

What we know so far?!?!

September 23, 2007 at 6:01 pm (academic, Expensive Items, News, Photohraphy) (, , )

This picture amazed me. The universe that we live in had been investigated and researched for more than 100 years and still we are not 100% accurate about it’s sercrets. Every year, a scientist would announce to the world, his/her discovery of a new star/planet which is hard to imagine, considering that we only managed to visit the moon. This picture holds all the planets that have been discovered so far. The picture’s link.

This big universe is so beautiful, It will be such a pleasure to be able to visit these planets one day and meditate, think and indulge in Allah’s Gracious creations !!!

Jarir Bookstore (Dentistry vs Pleasure)

August 15, 2007 at 7:31 pm (academic, Kuwait, Personal, Shopping, Travel)

I went yesterday to Jarir Bookstore to look and buy new novels/books because I’m leaving tomorrow morning to ……. Thailand .. Yes, I’m going for 2 weeks approximately .. My lovely uncle invited me, mother & my little brother to go with him and his family .. 15 people are going so enshall-allal it will be fun !!!.. My Daddy (>_<) won’t come because of his work commitments!!!  Next time Ensha-Allah ..

Anyway .. Back to Jarir.. As I was looking for this and picking that… My dental instincts guided me to the dental books’ section… My immediate reaction: Call my dad (Who was looking at some PC accessories) .. Showed him my discovery ….Drop all the novels I picked, and Pick 3 Dental books … Oh .. The Geek ego won over the normal Hessah >_<

P.S.: I will try to find an internet access so I keep you updated with my Journey ..If Not, I will be back on the 1st of Sept,07 ….

Have a nice time , till then …. ^_^

Flight date & Skipping a session

July 5, 2007 at 7:32 pm (academic, Manchester, Personal)

As you (Fellow readers) know that I’m off to Kuwait ensha’allah on the last week of July and to be precise on the 27th of July. It’s a Friday, and Friday is a working day in the UK as you all know. I booked my Ticket a week ago after checking my timetable and I didn’t find anything on that day, I had it OFF. Yesterday, I received an e-mail telling me and my group members that we are going to have an extra session on that particular Friday (Last Friday). What is that supposed to mean… Informing us about this extra session out of the blue and we have 3 weeks until we finishes… Aren’t all teaching sessions supposed to be scheduled early… And by early… We are talking about the beginning of the year, the start date of the Semester, not 3 weeks before… I can’t believe how this University functions and quite frankly I don’t care… I have never missed a single session but I’m not going to change my flight so that I would attend a 3 hour session.. No, I won’t.I’m angry because I hate these Tom & Jerry games… One think I know for sure, is that I’m going to have an amazing holiday in Kuwait and It’s going to be Marvelous.

Foreigner (Non-Kuwaiti) teachers: Is their rights protected in Kuwait ?

June 24, 2007 at 6:16 pm (academic, Kuwait)

I came across this article in Al-Jareeda Newspaper, It’s 2 weeks old, but what’s written is disastrous. Is it really that bad? I know that tier salary is different from their Kuwaiti colleagues, but as far as I know, They do (The teachers) send a large chunk of the salary to their family in their home country which sometime can reach up to 90% of the salary.  I don’t understand why do they complain? Yes, It can be unfair, but that’s they way in every country (Well, Arab Countries, anyway).

The sad part is that is that they (Well, as the article entioned) try to find another afternoon job to pay the bills, Well, you’re the one who send more than half of your salary and don’t save anything , so it’s your fault !!! Private tutition is everywhere and it’s a business rather than providing a service to students to help them succeed.

What do you think? Is it the Ministry of Education fault? or is it a mistake commited by the teachers because they mis-calculated thier allowance ??
